If this is the projector I think, then it was the 8mm equivalent to the box brownie camera! It was cheap and cheerful but it worked, although somewhat noisily. It was sold around late 1950′s early 60′s often with the related cheap box cine camera. Dim lamp and only 200 ft film capacity.
