This is an extremely nice, compact projector. The 18-5 was originally introduced in 1961 as a manually threaded machine with a red control switch. The 18-5 Automatic replaced the 18-5 in 1963 and featured automatic threading by film guides added around the top and bottom sprockets and a luminous white control switch. The projector was still available for a while after the Super 8 only 18-5 Super model was introduced in 1966.
